Staffing company eases the pain of pharmacist shortage Wisconsin based HealthPro celebrates five years
Madison, WI-With no end in sight regarding the nationwide pharmacist shortage, Madison based HealthPro Staffing & Placements is celebrating its fifth year helping Wisconsin pharmacies keep their doors open.
Changing demographics—the aging boomers and increased percentage of female pharmacists (who choose to work fewer hours)—as well as overall increased demand for prescription drugs and the limited number of pharmacy schools nationwide, has made it increasingly difficult for many pharmacies to fill their pharmacist openings or maintain adequate coverage. HealthPro, a temporary staffing and recruiting agency, has built a pool of high quality pharmacists throughout the state, thus alleviating the crunch— allowing pharmacies to draw from that pool on an as needed or even permanent basis.
“Our goal with HealthPro has been to change the face/stigma of temp staffing and focus on hiring the highest quality pharmacists in the market place,” said CEO and owner Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau. “Many of our pharmacists could make the Who’s Who list in Wisconsin pharmacy…that is something we are very proud of and something that gives our clients peace of mind.”
HealthPro president and cofounder, Lance Moran, RPh agrees. “Across all markets, the staffing industry is vital to the US economy,” said Moran. “Without the services we provide, many pharmacies simply could not operate. They depend on us to operate their business as much as we depend on them. It’s a win-win situation.”
HealthPro Staffing & Placements is a boutique temp staffing and recruiting agency servicing pharmacies throughout Wisconsin. The company offers a highly qualified staff of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, allowing pharmacies the ability to manage their evolving personnel needs in a cost effective and professional manner.
